We offer a social activity each evening

Half-Day Walks:

Less than 4 miles and 500ft of ascent on good paths.
At a leisurely pace, these walks will finish after a picnic lunch.

Highlights include:
A mix of coastal and forest walks; explore the lovely village of Lamlash, cross the Clauchland Hills with their superb panoramic views, or take in the wonderful waterfalls near Whiting Bay
Walk to Brodick via the splendid Brodick Castle and its country park, at the foot of Goatfell
These half-day walks are offered on holidays starting on 29 May, 17 July, 11 Sept

Easier Walks:
6 to 8½ miles on generally well-graded coastal, moorland and forest paths.
Up to 1,100ft of ascent in a day.

Highlights include:
The island’s beautiful coastline may take us from Sannox Bay to Lochranza or to King’s Cave and the mysterious standing stones of Machrie Moor
Follow Glen Rosa, a huge glacial valley that drives into the heart of Arran’s highest mountains, allowing walkers of all abilities to admire this dramatic landscape at close quarters

Medium Walks:
6 to 10 miles using rougher mountain and moorland paths.
Up to 2,900ft of ascent in a day.

Highlights include:
Experience superb stretches of coastline and head to some of the island’s more easily reached mountain summits
A walk to the top of Goatfell, the highest point of the island, is achievable by many walkers and is a great culmination to any holiday

Harder Walks:
8½ to 10½ miles on rough mountain paths with some exposed ridges and rock scrambling.
Up to 3,400ft of ascent in a day.

Highlights include:
A challenging route with some rocky scrambles to traverse the Goatfell ridge from north to south
The granite ridges dominating the north of the island rise to dramatic summits such as Caisteal Abhail (the Castles), Beinn Tarsuinn, Cir Mhor and Beinn Bharrain, that are a match for anything mainland Scotland has to offer
