Choose the option which best suits your interests and fitness
We provide flexible holidays, take an Easier Walk one day and switch to a Harder Walk the next, or choose to explore the Brecon Beacons independently
We offer a social activity each evening

Easier Walks:
5˝ to 8˝ miles in valleys, woodland and some moorland.
Up to 1,125ft of ascent in a day.

Highlights include:
Follow the pastoral valley of the River Usk, beside the river itself or along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal
Offa’s Dyke Path to reach the book town of Hay-on-Wye
Walks to the medieval Tretower Court and the magnificent Crickhowell Bridge

Medium Walks:
7˝ to 11 miles in valleys and over high moorland with some steeper and rougher paths.
Up to 2,250ft of ascent in a day.

Highlights include:
Walk the old Roman road through the Brecon Beacons, or along the unspoilt ridges of the Black Mountains
An ascent to the top of Pen y Fan, the highest point in the National Park
Dramatic path behind the cascading torrent of the Sgwd yr Eira waterfall
Breathe in the Iron Age atmosphere on Table Mountain or enter the gaping entrance to Porth yr Ogof Cave

Harder Walks:
9˝ to 13 miles over mountains and high moorland.
Up to 3250ft of ascent in a day.

Highlights include:
The summits of Corn Du, Cribyn and Pen y Fan, at the heart of the Brecon Beacons, have superb views right across south Wales
Long grassy ridges of the Black Mountains, the summits of Fan Brycheiniog and Fan Fawr and the distinctive summit of Sugar Loaf, overlooking Abergavenny and the Vale of Usk

Local transport
On some days the walks start and finish at our country house, Nythfa House. On other days you’ll be transported to other parts of the Brecon Beacons. The cost of all transport to and from the walks is included in the price of your holiday.
