Easier Walks
4 to 6˝ miles on good paths through valleys and meadows.
Up to 900 feet in a day
The Seefeld Plateau lies high in the Tirolean Alps and boasts a series of picturesque green valleys which offer superb easy walking in the heart of the mountains. From Weidach itself we can stroll along the Leutasch Valley to the pretty hamlets of Ostbach, Platzl and Oberweg. We’ll also use the chairlift to ascend to the Katzenkopf Hutte and walk around the beautiful lake at Wildmoos.
Harder Walks
6 to 10 miles with on good paths through valleys and meadows.
Upto 1,000 feet in a day
On our longer walks we’ll stroll through the meadows of the beautiful Leutasch Valley to the small Muggenmoos Alm and to the hamlet of Ostbach. Other options including taking the Kreith lift from Weidach and enjoying stunning views from the slopes above, visiting the Wildmoos Alm, to sample its famous apple strudel, on a walk to Mosern, and following the Oberweg path to the pretty church of Kirchplatzl.
Local Transport
On some days the walks start and finish at the hotel. On other days we’ll use the hired transport to explore the surrounding area. The cost of transport to and from the walk is payable locally.
Free Day
Each week there is a free day when no guided walks are offered. This is an ideal opportunity to relax around the hotel, walk independently, or visit local places of interest. |
